ABOUT US

Our Daily Life

Jeremy is a geek who spends his days doing tech support and systems administration at the University of Memphis. Teresa is a student trying to finish her degree at the Univeristy of Tennessee Health Science Center. We enjoy spending time together and hanging out with friends. We both enjoy watching the U of M Tigers play football, and we can't wait until Labor Day for the season to start. In our spare time, we're trying to plan our wedding, which is scheduled for July 15, 2006.

How We Met

While I was going to college in Fulton, Missouri, I met my roommate who was from Memphis. She introduced me to Jeremy, and we started chatting online. He came up to visit us before Christmas 1999. We continued talking on the phone and chatting online. Jeremy would visit me at school whenever he had the time and the means. He asked me out on our first date March 19, 2000. We dated long distance for two years until I graduated. The plan had been for him to move whereever I got accepted to graduate school. It was great to find out that I got accepted to UT Memphis.

How He Proposed

We celebrated our five year anniversary early. Jeremy was very sweet. Leading up to the anniversary, he had left a single red rose every day in someplace different. It was always a surprise because I would find it in places where I would least expect. The last rose was accompanied by dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. A week later, on Good Friday and the day after my birthday, Jeremy and I went to the roof of the Peabody Hotel to "take pictures" of the skyline. After trying to get out of going, I finally accompanied him grudingly. After taking a varietly of pictures, we turn to leave. I took the camera and told him to pose for a picture. He posed for one then told me to take another while he proposed. He then pulled out a ring and got down on one knee. It was so sweet and unexpected.
