For our friends and family who are traveling from out of town to celebrate with us, we've provided some information to hopefully make the trip easier.
Travel to Dallas
Airport Information
There are two airports that service the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex.
Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport: DFW
For those who are staying at the Renaissance Richardson Hotel, you can take the DartRail from the airport directly to the hotel. From the airport terminal, you can take the Remote South buses to the CentrePort/DFW Airport Station. From there, you take the Trinity Railway Express to downtown Union Station. From there, you take the light rail to the Galatyn Park exit.
Dallas Lovefield: DAL
Lovefield is a smaller airport. It services smaller airlines, but it is mainly the hub for Southwest Airlines.
Please let us know when you are planning to arrive. Even though DartRail does service the DFW airport, the route is semi-complicated. We would like to be able to arrange some sort of shuttle if we know ahead of time when you are arriving.
Driving Information
Memphis to Dallas
Though we've made several trips to Dallas from Memphis, the route we take is somewhat complicated. We've posted below an easier route. These directions will get you to the hotel where we are having our ceremony. If you would like us to map the route directly to your hotel, please let me know.
1. Take I-40 West towards Little Rock.
2. Take exit #159 onto I-440 West towards Texarkana.
3. Take the Hot Springs/Texarkana left exit onto I-30 West.
4. Take exit #56A onto I-635 North.
5. Take exit #19A onto US-75 North toward Sherman.
6. Take exit #27A onto N Central EXPY toward Renner Rd/Galatyn Pkwy.
Kansas City to Dallas
We've never made this drive before, so I don't know how accurate these directions are. However, from what I can tell, this is the easiest way of getting into the city.
1. Merge onto I-70 East/US-40 East/US-71 South.
2. Take the I-670/US-71 South exit, exit 2L, toward I-35 South/Wichita.
3. Merge onto I-670 West/I-70 ALT West via exit 2M toward I-35 South/Wichita.
4. I-670 West/I-70 ALT West becomes I-70 West (portions toll).
5. Merge onto I-335 South (portions toll).
6. I-335 South becomes I-35 South (portions toll).
7. Take I-35E South towards Dallas.
8. Take the President George Bush Turnpike East exit 445B.
9. Merge onto President George Bush Turnpike (portions toll).
10. Merge onto North Central Expressway/US-75 South.
11. Take exit 26 toward Galatyn Pkwy/Campbell Rd.
