Printing

Thursday, September 22nd, 2005

Note to self: When printing cardstock on a laser printer, print 1 page at a time. Otherwise, the toner will not dry fast enough on the paper or the rollers and you will get transfer. It’s a good thing we bought a ream of 250 sheets of cardstock. I’m going to have to reprint about 8 sheets or the Save the Date cards.

Registry Part II

We went and registered at Target tonight. Jeremy had a great time this time. He got to register for all the “toys” that he hopes people will get him. This registry is totally our fun registry. There are some things that are more “registry appropriate,” but I figure I already won when I wouldn’t let him register for milk. =)

Save-the-Date

Monday, September 19th, 2005

We showed our Save-the-Date mockups to Jeremy’s mom and Jim tonight, and everyone agrees on the color of card stock. I’m going to go some time in the near future to buy the paper. I had forgotten that we got 2 15% off coupons to xepdex. We are hoping to get these out to our family and wedding party by the middle of October.

DIY Part I

I got most of the photo card box for the gift table finished. All I need to do now is make the top and the bottom. Once that is done, I’ll have to find pictures for the frames. The box turned out a little bigger than I first expected. Anyways, here are a couple of pictures that Jeremy took of the progress.

Registry

I forgot to mention that we also registered at Bed, Bath & Beyond. There is now a tab on our site that links to it. Just a tip, if you are taking a man with you to register, make sure to feed him first and then bring a snack. About halfway through the store, Jeremy started “feeling faint” and absolutely had to leave. Maybe it was just his shopping allergies kicking in. =)

Latest News

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted, and so much has happened. First of all, I’d like to introduce my new blog format. It’s not completely finished and to my liking, but that will change whenever Jeremy has a chance to show me.

The unity candle I ordered was shipped, and I “received” it. However, when I opened the box, what do I find but a totally different unity candle holder. The one they shipped me was half the price of what I ordered. I e-mailed the company, and they said that they were going to send me the correct one. Hopefully, I’ll get the correct one in a week or so. At least their customer service was quick and nice.

I’ve been e-mailing the rehearsal dinner place along with our pastor, and hopefully, I’ll get the time of the rehearsal dinner set. Our date is totally open, so I’m not worried. I’ll be trying to get it finalized by Friday though.

We’ve decided on what our invitations and save-the-dates are going to look like. It’s exciting. I spent the last couple of days after work designing the mock ups. Hopefully, we’ll get a chance this weekend to find the cardstock for the save-the-dates this weekend. I think we’ve decided to only send them to family, friends of family, and wedding party members. The way we figure it, our friends already know about the wedding and we’re really only pointing them to the website anyways. So, I guess all I’m saying is, if you don’t receive a save-the-date, it doesn’t mean you’re not invited to the wedding. =)
