I forgot to mention that we also registered at Bed, Bath & Beyond. There is now a tab on our site that links to it. Just a tip, if you are taking a man with you to register, make sure to feed him first and then bring a snack. About halfway through the store, Jeremy started “feeling faint” and absolutely had to leave. Maybe it was just his shopping allergies kicking in. =)

September 15th, 2005Latest News
September 14th, 2005It’s been awhile since I’ve posted, and so much has happened. First of all, I’d like to introduce my new blog format. It’s not completely finished and to my liking, but that will change whenever Jeremy has a chance to show me.
The unity candle I ordered was shipped, and I “received” it. However, when I opened the box, what do I find but a totally different unity candle holder. The one they shipped me was half the price of what I ordered. I e-mailed the company, and they said that they were going to send me the correct one. Hopefully, I’ll get the correct one in a week or so. At least their customer service was quick and nice.
I’ve been e-mailing the rehearsal dinner place along with our pastor, and hopefully, I’ll get the time of the rehearsal dinner set. Our date is totally open, so I’m not worried. I’ll be trying to get it finalized by Friday though.
We’ve decided on what our invitations and save-the-dates are going to look like. It’s exciting. I spent the last couple of days after work designing the mock ups. Hopefully, we’ll get a chance this weekend to find the cardstock for the save-the-dates this weekend. I think we’ve decided to only send them to family, friends of family, and wedding party members. The way we figure it, our friends already know about the wedding and we’re really only pointing them to the website anyways. So, I guess all I’m saying is, if you don’t receive a save-the-date, it doesn’t mean you’re not invited to the wedding. =)
Unity Candle
August 30th, 2005I bought our unity candle holder yesterday. I got a 15% off coupon from them by e-mail, and since I really liked it and we hadn’t found anything else we liked, I just went ahead and got it. Hopefully I’ll get it in the next couple of weeks!

Vendors
August 26th, 2005We’re currently debating two florists. We like both of them, and people have said good things about both. Really, it comes down to price and peace of mind, and there isn’t one that is standing out more than the other. On the other hand, we’ve pretty much worked out the rehearsal dinner location, so I’m just waiting for Jeremy to talk to his dad. Then someone will put down a credit card and reserve the room!
We did accomplish one thing yesterday though. We’ve booked our photographer! I’m so happy. We’re both really glad we decided to go with Jay on this. Jeremy kept asking me if I was okay with it, and my feelings at this point are that he’s really the only vendor I don’t stress about. Plus, we know where he lives! hehe. =)
Finally!
August 5th, 2005Our contract was finalized and signed by me yesterday, and my mom delivered it plus the deposit before six. Yea!!! We are definitely having the ceremony and reception July 15, 2006 at the Renaissance Hotel in Richardson! Whew! That was so much hard work and stress.
Lalala
July 26th, 2005Since my experiments at work didn’t pan out, I had a free morning to do wedding stuff. I think I’ve found some invitation possibilities. As you can see, we want to incorporate ‘ai’ into our wedding, and we were having a hard time finding the invites. I’m going to have to get a sample pack of the invites the company does before we make up our minds. However, I think I’ve definitely found the place cards! They’re really cute and it even matches our colors!
Bridal Shows
July 24th, 2005We went to the smallest bridal show in the world today. Although we did get some useful information for invitations, it probably wasn’t worth the price of admission. However, our first website together is now up!
